The disclosure relates to a cover (1) for a horizontal drive compartment (11) for a sliding door (16) with a top side (12), a back side (13), a front side (14) and a bottom side (15), wherein the cover (1) is intended to cover electrical and mechanical drive components of the sliding door, while allowing the door leaves of the sliding door to move in an elongated opening (23) in the bottom side of the cover (1), the cover (1) comprising: a back cover part (17) arranged as a housing for fastening the drive components, wherein the back cover part includes at least the back side (13) and the top side (12); a front cover part (18) rotatably arranged to move between a closed position and an open position by rotation around a first horizontal axis (h1) of a first horizontal hinge (hh1) arranged between an edge (19) of the front cover part (18) and an edge (20) of the back cover part (17), wherein the front cover part is arranged to protect and hide the drive components in the closed position and wherein the front cover part (18) is arranged to allow maintenance of drive components in the open position; wherein the front cover part (18) comprises a side part (21) and a bottom part (22) rotatably joined by a second horizontal hinge (hh2), wherein the side part (21) is arranged to constitute at least part of the front side (14) of the cover in the closed position and the bottom part (22) is arranged to constitute at least part of the bottom side (15) of the cover in the closed position.
