Bei einer Vorrichtung und einem Verfahren zum Plausibilisieren einer auf den Bilddaten einer im Innenraum eines Fahrzeugs angeordneten Innenraumkamera basierenden Position mindestens eines Objektes wird mindestens eine funkbasierte Kommunikationseinheit umfassendes Objekt im Innenraum des Fahrzeugs funkbasiert geortet, wobei Positionsdaten zum Bestimmen der Ortungsposition des Objekts im Innenraum des Fahrzeugs erzeugt werden. Die Positionsdaten werden verarbeitet und die Ortungsposition des Objekts wird ermittelt. Ausgehend von der Ortungsposition wird die Plausibilität der auf den Bilddaten basierenden Position des Objekts geprüft.[English]
