Abstract[English]
A device and powered attachment are disclosed. The device has two electrical terminals via which the powered attachment is configured to connect with the device and receive power from the device. The device has a terminal polarity switching circuit configured to switch a polarity of a voltage provided at the two electrical terminals. The powered attachment includes a first circuit and a second circuit that are connected in parallel with one another between the two electrical terminals when the powered attachment is connected with the device. The first circuit is configured to provide a first function when the voltage provided across the two electrical terminals has a first polarity. The second circuit is configured to provide a second function when the voltage provided across the two electrical terminals has an opposite second polarity.[French]
