Ein volumenakustisches Element weist eine Vielzahl von nebeneinander angeordneten Resonatoreinrichtungen (2a, 2b, 2c) auf. Jede Resonatoreinrichtung weist mindestens drei parallel zueinander versetzt angeordnete Elektroden (31a, 32a, 33a, 34a, 31b, 32b, 33b, 34b, 31c, 32c, 33c, 34c) auf. Die Elektroden bilden mindestens zwei Elektrodenpaare. Zwischen den Elektroden jedes Elektrodenpaars ist jeweils mindestens eine piezoelektrische Schicht ausgebildet. Eine Spannungsquelle (6) kann die Elektrodenpaare mit Spannung beaufschlagen. Dabei bildet sich jeweils ein elektrisches Feld zwischen den Elektroden der Elektrodenpaare aus, wobei Feldrichtungen der elektrischen Felder für benachbarte Elektrodenpaare derselben Resonatoreinrichtung entgegengesetzt sind.[English]
