Die Erfindung betrifft ein Lokalisierungssystem (1) zur Ermittlung zumindest einer Position eines Werkzeuges (50), in/auf einem Arbeitsbereich, aufweisend: - zumindest eine oder mehrere Basisstationen (30), wobei die jeweilige Basisstation (30) dazu ausgeführt ist, zumindest temporär ortsfest einen Referenzpunkt für die Positionsermittlung bereitzustellen, - eine mobile Einheit (40), die am Werkzeug (50) anordenbar ist, - eine Signaleinheit (41) der mobilen Einheit (40) für eine Durchführung einer Lokalisierungsmethode mittels eines Lokalisierungssignals (202), das zwischen der Signaleinheit (41) und der jeweiligen Basisstation (30) austauschbar ist, - ein Verarbeitungssystem (10), welches dazu ausgeführt ist, auf Basis der Lokalisierungsmethode anhand des bereitgestellten Referenzpunktes die Position des Werkzeuges (50) zu ermitteln.[English]
