The invention relates to a driver assistance device which is designed to assist the driver of a motor vehicle during travel along a driving trajectory by outputting a graphical representation of the driving trajectory on a display unit. The driver assistance device is designed to determine that the driving trajectory comprises a first segment arranged on a first driving plane, and comprises a subsequent second segment arranged on a second driving plane that differs from the first driving plane. The driver assistance device is also designed to highlight the first segment of the driving trajectory in the graphical representation in contrast to the second segment of the driving trajectory.[French]
