Abstract[English] The present invention relates to a methanol plant and a process for the production of methanol in which a combination of a high temperature shift (HTS) section and a steam superheater can output a superheated steam stream which can be used to heat or pre-heat other sections or streams in the plant/process. Preheating of feeds and steam superheating by means of fired heaters can thus be reduced or avoided.[French] La présente invention concerne une installation de méthanol et un procédé de production de méthanol dans lequel une combinaison d'une section de conversion à haute température (HTS) et d'un surchauffeur de vapeur peut fournir un flux de vapeur surchauffé qui peut être utilisé pour chauffer ou préchauffer d'autres sections ou flux dans l'installation/leprocédé.
