Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Gerätesystem (10), insbesondere einem Haushaltsgerätesystem (20), mit einer Gerätevorrichtung (12) zu einer Bereitstellung zumindest einer Gerätefunktion und mit einer portablen Bedieneinheit (14) zu einer drahtlosen Bedienung der Gerätevorrichtung (12). Um eine Sicherheit zu verbessern wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Gerätesystem (10) eine Steuereinheit (16) aufweist, welche dazu vorgesehen ist, basierend auf zumindest drei ermittelten Signalstärken zwischen der Gerätevorrichtung (12) und der Bedieneinheit (14) eine Existenz einer Sichtlinie zwischen der Gerätevorrichtung (12) und der Bedieneinheit (14) zu ermitteln und basierend auf zumindest der ermittelten Existenz eine Ansteuerung der Gerätevorrichtung (12) durch die Bedieneinheit (14) freizugeben oder zumindest einzuschränken.[English]
