Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Fahrerinformationssystems (1) für einen Fahrer eines vorwärtsfahrenden eigenen Fahrzeugs (2), bei dem Umfelddaten in einer Umgebung des eigenen Fahrzeugs (2) erfasst werden, die Umfelddaten so analysiert werden, dass eine relative Position und Bewegung eines sich von hinten nähernden weiteren Fahrzeugs (7) fortlaufend bestimmt wird, und anhand der Umfelddaten Grafikdaten einer Umfelddarstellung erzeugt werden, welche auf einer Fahrerinformationsanzeige (5) ausgegeben werden. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein entsprechendes Fahrerinformationssystem (1) zum Ausführen dieses Verfahrens.[English]

La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de faire fonctionner un système d'information pour conducteurs (1) destiné à un conducteur circulant en marche avant à bord de son propre véhicule (2), procédé selon lequel des données relatives à l'environnement du propre véhicule (2) du conducteur concerné sont enregistrées, les données relatives à l'environnement du véhicule sont analysées de manière à déterminer en continu une position relative et le déplacement relatif d'un autre véhicule (7) qui se rapproche par l'arrière, et des données graphiques d'une représentation de l'environnement sont générées au moyen des données relatives à l'environnement, données graphiques qui sont fournies sur un système d’affichage d'informations destinées aux conducteurs (5).
