Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spinnkannentrageinrichtung (20) zum Drehen einer insbesondere selbstfahrenden Spinnkanne (4) unter einer Ablagevorrichtung (14) einer Textilmaschine (1), wobei die Spinnkannentrageinrichtung (20) eine an einem Grundkörper (7) der Textilmaschine (1) festlegbare Haltevorrichtung (43), einen von der Spinnkanne (4) befahrbaren Kannenteller (13), der an der Haltevorrichtung (43) um eine Hochachse (21) drehbar befestigt ist, und ein Antriebs- und Bremssystem (22) zum drehenden Antreiben des Kannentellers (13) um die Hochachse (21) und Abbremsen des Kannentellers (13) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zum wiederholbaren Abbremsen und Halten des Kannentellers (13) in einer definierten Lade-Drehstellung das Antriebs- und Bremssystem (22) eine Drehstellungssensorik (48) aufweist, die konfiguriert ist, die definierte Lade-Drehstellung des Kannentellers (13) zu erfassen.
