Abstract[English]
Disclosed herein is akhdardiol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in a method of treating fungal infections in a patient, comprising identifying a patient in need of treatment and administering a therapeutically effective amount thereof. The present invention relates further to an antifungal agent against the genus Candida, particularly an antifungal agent having an effect of prophylaxis, treatment, cure, alleviation of symptoms, prevention of recurrence and the like against candidiasis caused by said pathogenic fungus, which contains akhdardiol.[French]
L'invention concerne un akhdardiol ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci destiné à être utilisé dans un procédé de traitement d'infections fongiques chez un patient, comprenant l'identification d'un patient ayant besoin d'un traitement et l'administration d'une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace de celui-ci. La présente invention concerne en outre un agent antifongique contre le genre Candida, en particulier un agent antifongique ayant un effet de prophylaxie, de traitement, de durcissement, d'atténuation des symptômes, de prévention de la récurrence et similaire contre la candidose provoquée par ledit champignon pathogène, qui contient un akhdardiol.
