Abstract[English] Brake assembly for braking at least one wheel of a vehicle The present invention relates to a brake assembly (1) for braking at least one wheel of a vehicle, comprising: a brake disc (10) rotatably supported about a rotational axis (R) having a disc center plane (DCP) perpendicular to the rotational axis (R), a caliper (40) having a caliper plane (CP) extending substantially perpendicular to the disc center plane (DCP) and in parallel to a plane formed by the rotational axis (R) and a direction (y) perpendicular to the rotational axis (R) within the disc center plane (DCP), at least one brake pad (20a, 20b) arranged in the caliper (40) to face a radial surface side of the brake disc (10) with respect to the rotational axis (R), and an actuation assembly (30) operatively connected to the at least one brake pad (20a, 20b) to move the at least one brake pad (20a, 20b) toward the radial surface side of the brake disc (10), wherein the actuation assembly (30) comprises a lever member (32) rotatably supported about a lever turning axis (32´) to transfer a rotational movement of the lever member (32) into a translational movement of the at least one brake pad (20a, 20b) toward the brake disc (10), and wherein the lever turning axis (32´) extends in a direction substantially in parallel to the disc center plane (DCP) and substantially perpendicular the caliper plane (CP).[French] La présente invention concerne un ensemble frein (1) pour le freinage d'au moins une roue d'un véhicule, comprenant : un disque de frein (10) supporté de manière rotative autour d'un axe de rotation (R) ayant un plan central de disque (DCP) perpendiculaire à l'axe de rotation (R), un étrier (40) ayant un plan d'étrier (CP) s'étendant sensiblement perpendiculairement au plan central de disque (DCP) et en parallèle à un plan formé par l'axe de rotation (R) et une direction (y) perpendiculaire à l'axe de rotation (R) dans le plan central de disque (DCP), au moins une plaquette de frein (20a, 20b) agencée dans l'étrier (40) pour faire face à un côté surface radiale du disque de frein (10) par rapport à l'axe de rotation (R), et un ensemble d'actionnement (30) relié de manière fonctionnelle à la ou aux plaquettes de frein (20a, 20b) pour déplacer la ou les plaquettes de frein (20a, 20b) vers le côté surface radiale du disque de frein (10), l'ensemble d'actionnement (30) comprenant un élément de levier (32) supporté de manière rotative autour d'un axe de rotation de levier (32´) pour transférer un mouvement de rotation de l'élément de levier (32) en un mouvement de translation de la ou des plaquettes de frein (20a, 20b) vers le disque de frein (10), et l'axe de rotation de levier (32´) s'étendant dans une direction sensiblement parallèle au plan central de disque (DCP) et sensiblement perpendiculaire au plan d'étrier (CP).
