Abstract[English]
A method of operating a personal safety system including a vehicle includes automatically detecting that a smartphone is within a communication range using a wireless communication system of the vehicle, and starting an approach time period with a controller of the vehicle or the smartphone when the smartphone is detected. The method further includes sending checkup data from the vehicle to the smartphone using the wireless communication system when the smartphone fails to arrive at the vehicle prior to the approach time period elapsing, and triggering an emergency response by the vehicle and/or the smartphone when the vehicle fails to receive a response to the checkup data from the smartphone within a response time period.[French]
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fonctionnement d'un système de sécurité personnelle comprenant un véhicule comprenant la détection automatique qu'un téléphone intelligent se trouve dans une plage de communication à l'aide d'un système de communication sans fil du véhicule, et le démarrage d'une période de temps d'approche avec un dispositif de commande du véhicule ou du téléphone intelligent lorsque le téléphone intelligent est détecté. Le procédé consiste en outre à envoyer des données de contrôle du véhicule au téléphone intelligent à l'aide du système de communication sans fil lorsque le téléphone intelligent ne parvient pas à arriver au véhicule avant que la période de temps d'approche s'écoule, et déclencher une réponse d'urgence par le véhicule et/ou le téléphone intelligent lorsque le véhicule ne parvient pas à recevoir une réponse aux données de contrôle provenant du téléphone intelligent dans une période de temps de réponse.
