Abstract[English]
An ultra-efficient thermal desalination system, based on confined fuel burning (18) inside an isolated steam generator (10) to combine saline water vapor and combustion exhausts for increasing the yielded water content. It merges between sorption cooling and thermal heating to produce pure water (57) from any grade of saline water (43) using liquid and/or gaseous fuel. The waste brine (44) and exhausted gazes (70) are environmentally-friendly cold products. It can continuously produce fresh water on marine platforms, navy-decks, shores and near hard water resources at extremely high capacity, low cost, reduced size, light weight and high reliability in harsh environments.[French]
Système de dessalement thermique ultra-efficace basé sur la combustion de combustible confiné (18) à l'intérieur d'un générateur de vapeur isolé (10) pour combiner la vapeur d'eau salée et les échappements de combustion pour augmenter la teneur en eau obtenue. La fusion entre le refroidissement par sorption et le chauffage thermique permet de produire de l'eau pure (57) à partir de n'importe quelle qualité d'eau salée (43) en utilisant un combustible liquide et/ou gazeux. La saumure résiduaire (44) et les gaz épuisés (70) sont des produits froids écologiques. Le système permet de produire en continu de l'eau douce sur des plates-formes marines, des ponts de bateaux, des littoraux et à proximité de ressources en eau calcaire à une capacité extrêmement élevée, un faible coût, une taille réduite, un poids léger et une fiabilité élevée dans des environnements hostiles.
