Abstract[English]
An accessory device for observing a flow of liquid exiting a catheter having a proximal end for insertion into a urethra and an opposite distal end is disclosed. The accessory device includes a handle having an attachment means for releasably coupling a catheter to the handle and a first camera for capturing a first plurality of images. The first camera is arranged with a field of view of the proximity of the distal end of the catheter when the catheter is coupled to the handle. The accessory device further includes a monitor in communication with the first camera, the monitor having a display configured to display the first plurality of images. The accessory device provides for visualizing urine exiting a catheter coupled to the accessory device.[French]
Un dispositif accessoire destiné à observer un écoulement de liquide sortant d'une sonde présentant une extrémité proximale destinée à être insérée dans un urètre et une extrémité distale opposée est divulgué. Le dispositif accessoire comprend une poignée présentant un moyen de fixation pour l'accouplement amovible d'un cathéter à la poignée et une première caméra pour la capture d'une première pluralité d'images. La première caméra est agencée avec un champ de vision de la proximité de l'extrémité distale de la sonde lorsque la sonde est accouplée à la poignée. Le dispositif accessoire comprend en outre un moniteur en communication avec la première caméra, le moniteur présentant un dispositif d'affichage configuré pour afficher la première pluralité d'images. Le dispositif accessoire permet de visualiser l'urine sortant d'une sonde accouplée au dispositif accessoire.
