Die Erfindung betrifft ein Baukastensystem für mehrere Bauvarianten eines Seitenschwellers (2) für eine Karosserie (1) eines Personenkraftwagens, mit wenigstens zwei bauvariantenübergreifenden, separat voneinander ausgebildeten Profilen (3, 4), welche eine jeweilige Seite (S1, S2) mit einer jeweiligen Ausnehmung (10, 11) aufweisen und zum Bilden der jeweiligen Bauvariante miteinander verbindbar sind, sodass in miteinander verbundenem Zustand der Profile (3, 4) die Seiten (S1, S2) einander zugewandt sind und die Ausnehmungen (10, 11) der Profile (3, 4) eine Aufnahme (12) des Seitenschwellers (2) bilden, und mit wenigstens einem bauvariantenspezifischen, separat von dem Profilen (3, 4) ausgebildeten Verstärkungselement (7), welches wahlweise in der Aufnahme (12) anordenbar oder aus der Aufnahme wegzulassen ist, sodass bei einer ersten der Bauvarianten das Verstärkungselement (7) in der Aufnahme (12) angeordnet ist und bei einer zweiten der Bauvarianten die Aufnahme (12) frei von einem separat von den Profilen (3, 4) ausgebildeten Bauelement ist.[English]
