Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb einer Bildaufnahmeeinrichtung (2) eines Fahrzeugs (1 ), wobei die Bildaufnahmeeinrichtung (2) wenigstens eine Kamera (3) und wenigstens eine Anzeigeeinrichtung (9) umfasst, wobei die Kamera (3) Bilddaten aus einem Teilbereich einer Fahrzeugumgebung erfasst und eine aus den Bilddaten erzeugte Umgebungsansicht (18) auf der Anzeigeeinrichtung (9) dargestellt wird, wobei die Umgebungsansicht (18) aus den Bilddaten mittels einer Projektion der Bilddaten erzeugt wird, wobei in Abhängigkeit einer Geschwindigkeit des Fahrzeugs (1 ) zwischen wenigstens zwei verschiedenen Projektionsverfahren für die Projektion der Bilddaten gewechselt wird, wobei die verschiedenen Projektionsverfahren jeweils eine unterschiedlich geformte Projektionsfläche (12, 13, 14) für die Projektion der Bilddaten verwenden.[English]
