Abstract[German] Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (5) und ein Verfahren zum Verschweißen von Halbblechen (2, 3) zu einer Bipolarplatte (1 ). Die Vorrichtung umfasst mindestens drei Werkzeugteile, nämlich ein Werkzeugunterteil (6a) und ein mehrteiliges Werkzeugoberteil (6b), wobei zwischen das Werkzeugunterteil (6a) und das mehrteilige Werkzeugoberteil (6b) die miteinander zu verschweißenden Halbbleche (2, 3) einlegbar sind. Das mehrteilige Werkzeugoberteil (6a) umfasst mehrere Einzelteile (7; 8), die nacheinander und lediglich alternativ oberhalb des Werkzeugunterteils (6a) anorden¬ bar sind, wobei in jedem der Einzelteile (7, 8) des mehrteiligen Werkzeugoberteils (6a) sowohl mindestens eine erste Öffnung (9) zur Einleitung von Druckgas, durch welches die Halbbleche (2, 3) gegeneinander pressbar sind, als auch mindestens eine zweite Öffnung (10) zum Einbringen von Fügeenergie bei einem Schweißvorgang zum Verschweißen der Halbbleche (2, 3) ausgebildet ist, wobei eine Form der zweiten Öffnungen (10, 10') in den Einzelteilen (7, 8) des mehrteiligen Werkzeugoberteils (6b) senkrecht zur Ebene der Halbbleche (2, 3) gesehen größtenteils komplementär zueinander und lediglich bereichsweise überlappend ausgebildet ist, derart dass unter Einsatz eines Einzelteils (7, 8) des mehrteiligen Werkzeugoberteils (6b) nur jeweils ein Teil einer insgesamt zu bildenden Verschweißung erzeugbar ist.[English] The invention relates to a device (5) and a method for welding half sheets (2, 3) to form a bipolar plate (1).
