The liquid crystal display panel (1) comprises an alignment film (5), a common electrode (42), a pixel electrode (41), and a liquid crystal layer (3). The method comprises: providing a target direct current signal to the common electrode (42) or the pixel electrode (41) of the liquid crystal display panel (1), and acquiring ion accumulation data; according to the ion accumulation data and the target direct current signal, determining the type of ions in the liquid crystal display panel (1), which helps to determine the cause of afterimage, thereby specifically eliminating afterimage in the liquid crystal display panel (1).[French]
