The present invention relates to the field of biotechnology engineering, and specifically relates to an Asian soybean rust resistance gene and the use thereof. The resistance gene is RppGM12H3 or RppGM12H4, which has characteristics such as a low cytotoxicity. The obtained transgenic material exhibits efficient and broad-spectrum control effects against different Phakopsora pachyrhizi strains.[French]
