The present invention belongs to the technical field of pesticides, and specifically relates to an insecticidal composition containing 4-(trifluoromethyl)nicotinamide, and an application thereof. The insecticidal composition includes an active ingredient A and an active ingredient B, wherein the active ingredient A is 4-(trifluoromethyl)nicotinamide, and the active ingredient B is selected from one or more of the following compounds: afidopyropen, formula (I), dimpropyridaz, formula (II), isoflualanam, fipronil, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, avermectin, acephate and beta-cypermethrin. The composition has features such as reasonable components, good insecticidal effect, low administration cost, reduced application amount, crop safety, and reduced residue.[French]
