Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are a camera data acquisition method and apparatus, and a head-mounted display device and a medium, which method is applied to a head-mounted display device. The method comprises: in response to a data acquisition request sent by a target application for acquiring camera data, reading, from a set data stream configuration table and by means of a camera device of a head-mounted display device, a target data stream configuration parameter that matches the target application; and on the basis of the target data stream configuration parameter, applying for camera data from a camera of the head-mounted display device, and returning the applied camera data to the target application, wherein the set data stream configuration table reflects correspondences between different applications and data stream configuration parameters corresponding to the applications.[French]
