Abstract[English]
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method of synthesizing a nanoparticle, e.g., asphaltene quantum dots ("AQD") and/or asphaltene carbon dots ("ACD"), the method comprising: contacting a source of asphaltene with an organic solvent to form an asphaltene and organic solvent mixture; removing; contacting the asphaltene and organic solvent mixture with an acid to form an acidic mixture; heating the acidic mixture to form an unpurified AQD and/or ACD; removing the acid; and adjusting the pH to form the AQD and/or ACD.[French]
Des modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent un procédé de synthèse d'une nanoparticule, par exemple des points quantiques d'asphaltène (« AQD ») et/ou des points de carbone d'asphaltène (« ACD »), le procédé comprenant : la mise en contact d'une source d'asphaltène avec un solvant organique pour former un mélange d'asphaltène et de solvants organiques ; le retrait ; la mise en contact du mélange d'asphaltène et de solvants organiques avec un acide pour former un mélange acide ; le chauffage du mélange acide pour former un AQD et/ou un ACD non purifiés ; l'élimination de l'acide ; et l'ajustement du pH pour former l'AQD et/ou l'ACD.
