Singapore and Cambodia: Mutual recognition of patents and industrial designs

In light of strengthening the business relations in South-Eastern Asia the Memorandum of Understanding between Intellectual Property Office of Singapore and the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft of Cambodia was signed on January 20, 2015.

On the basis of this agreement it is possible to recognize patents and industrial designs in Cambodia which were granted in Singapore and vice versa. Consequently, the first Singapore patent was recognized in Cambodia on March 4, 2015.
